About the Author

Dr. James Laws taught the Sociology of Racism and the Sociology of the Black Family at Virginia Commonwealth University. He has also taught a race relations course at Mary Washington University. As an educator, he has taught education courses at Virginia State University and George Mason University. Dr. Laws has a Doctorate in Higher Education Administration from The College of William and Mary and a Master’s in Public Administration and Bachelors in Sociology, both from Virginia  Commonwealth University. Wilmington Manor is his first novel. He resides in Washington, DC.
